Geometric Comfort Blanket Pattern crochet pattern

The Geometric Comfort Blanket resulted from my desire to create a Tunisian crocheted blanket, reminiscent of neoplasticism art and the designs of Frank Lloyd Wright.

It is composed by joining a series of differently shaped Tunisian simple stitch blocks, which makes the blanket warm and lightweight with its closed stitches. In addition, the back of the blanket also looks attractive because the excessive yarn is not carried during the build process and all ends are crocheted over. The completed blanket measures approximately five square feet, using a size 10 Tunisian crochet hook.

The design is worked from the left to the right, and bottom to the top. Attention must be paid to the order of the block joins and stitch count to ensure a uniform look.
